This is part of my reply to someone regarding Time, Space, and the Imagination (identifying markers have been removed):

“In reference to the point regarding the Paranormal, there is no part of these events that are beyond “Normal” for me. However I agree that there are far more nuances to ‘reality’ than “black and white facts”.
For the most part, the points you raise regarding Time and Space make perfect sense to me. Thank you! It could easily be that the ‘echo’ comes from a future time. In my Practise, Time is one of the more Magical events discovered and used by Humans.
Rather than “Paranormal”, this next section could be read as “Parapsychology”, in the sense of “Mind Over Matter”:
It’s my opinion that there is nothing a human being does which is not first filtered through the Imagination.
For me, it’s self-evident that the Imagination is the first point of reference available in any kind of rational or creative thinking, or any thinking at all, and is the only way for any of us to form image from impulse – that everything we think and do is not much more than a ‘Figment” of our Imagination in the first place.
The outcome is whatever we think it is – for us. Consensus reality then, as you say, “imbues (that representation with) the virtues/characteristics of that form”.
We all do it whether we know we do or not.
Even skeptics.”

Musical interlude here – no less Magical for it though.
I wanted to see what the Monday night open mic at the Greyhound Hotel (our local) is like, so I picked up my guitar and wandered over.
I had a ball!
The best part, among some pretty good other best parts (including Aaron’s jokes – I know, I know), was when Dave Moll borrowed Craig’s guitar and sat in with me on slide. Too good for words!!
Then he invited me to come over to the Pint on Punt on Sunday (yesterday) to sit in with the band. Oh, what a feeling LOL.Those guys ROCK. I highly recommend you get over there to see them. Even Fred Negro got up and sang a few before he went to the Greyhound for his Kooky Karaoke mega-time. Heaven on a stick. Or in his case,, horsie on a stick ;-)
Anyway, just for the pure fun of it I’m going back to the Greyhound open mic again tonight.. and just might drop in there at random on some other Monday nights too.
Don’t miss it if you can!

I’m replying to someone who feels that Metaphysics and Parapsychology can not be entirely separate situations:

I agree with you that Parapsychology and Metaphysics cannot be entirely separate issues.
For clarity, in my Practise we say that Parapsychology is defined as: “That which goes beyond the psychological”, and Metaphysics as: “That which goes beyond the physical”. The point where the event of Thought takes place is the fulcrum where these two overlap.
The Occult understanding of Life and Magic does not separate the two either, because the concepts themselves can only be understood from a subjective, human perspective, and people have a Natural, and Magical, ability to blend these impressions.
Even though deliberate separation of one from the other could be seen as, and is, a necessary part of Occult training, to force such a separation is to impair the Practice. (The Law of the Paradox applies here, and is outside the parameters of this topic for now).
The “science” of Parapsychology and Metaphysics, in my Practice, claims the person and their opinions as test subject, with the testing of theories – called The Great Work – taking place in the Laboratory which is their Life. It’s a trial and error process, and the results are only ever subjective – regardless of how many times tested, or under what conditions of record.
If I may offer: an observation is not an experience, although it could lead to one.

There is magic in the drift and waft of the wind.

To say magic causes change to occur in conformity with the will, while useful, is to confine magic to a parameter it transcends by its very essence.
Magic is that which moves, and that which does.
It is that which does not, and is still.
We touch it and use it every day of our lives, whether we know it or not.
Using magic, we create magic.
The casting of Spells and the saying of Prayers are magical actions.
They call magic to us, and send it forward, changed.
Magic lives within us and causes us to live.
The Creation of Life itself is magic unfettered, held in the tiniest of seeds, the greatest of stars.
All those who wonder, who create, who dream, who pray, who wish, who do and who wish to do, and not to do, use magic.
Magic is that by which we measure our days, our nights.
It is the spark that brings dreams alive.
Magic is all around us.

Greetings All
Just recently I was asked about the ‘research material’ we used in the Coven where I learned my Craft.
This is a question which has been raised more and more lately. I’m not really sure why, but I think it’s because most people who are beginning their studies and seeking Craft knowledge are now referring much more to books instead of human Teachers. Not surprising either, given the amount of written information available online these days.
So, while I’d love to direct you to the tomes of written information that might give you an idea of my studies, I can’t.
I studied ‘mouth to ear’ with my teacher, Eddie Pielke, for 22 years (1970 – 1992). We used very little in the way of research material. Mainly because, when I began my studies, there simply wasn’t much written material available, and what was available didn’t refer to the branch of Metaphysics and Parapsychology that I was interested in, or to the Inner Circle information that my Teacher, Eddie, taught his Third Level acolytes.
This was specifically taught “Mouth to Ear”.
All our work was experiential. That is, I would listen, and discuss various matters with my teacher – who, btw, called himself a Living Book, as do I – then put them to use in real life outside of the house to see how, or if they would work. Then I would come home and further discuss the results – why something did or didn’t work.
We didn’t work with ‘beliefs’ either, or God or Goddess. We worked with Knowledge and Logic. Testing, trying and testing again. Over and over again every day. For 22 years in my case. This is how I formulated my knowledge, and learned to understand about the Three Great Circles of Magic.
In June 2000 I founded a new Coven called the Great Circle of the Order of the Red Rose, as a daughter Coven of my learning Coven – the Australian branch of the Great White Brotherhood of Light, which my Teacher brought to Australia from Germany.
The American branch the Brotherhood of Light has a huge amount of Outer and Middle Circle information available, most of it to do with Correspondences, Astrology and Tarot.
The Australian branch of the Brotherhood didn’t teach Correspondences, Astrology or Tarot. It taught information from the Inner Circle of the European branch of the Brotherhood. This was often known as the “Secret” or “Hidden” knowledge of the Brotherhood, often heard of, but rarely offered.
The Great Circle of the Order of the Red Rose is designed as a circle of magic and mystery. Of love and balance. Members around the world are linked by a desire to bring this understanding to its highest potential. The Red Rose Order holds the same Inner Circle Knowledge as the Brotherhood. As its Founder I have now undertaken to introduce this Knowledge to the wider community.
The information I am bringing forward is that part of the Craft that could be called “Western Zen” because it holds a number of similarities to the practise of Zen Buddhism. Particularly in reference to the Law of the Paradox.
As I mentioned before, up until now the knowledge was passed Mouth to Ear – from Teacher to Student – and usually only to Initiates of the Third Level of the Middle Circle who were willing and able to go further.
However, I feel it’s time to bring thie Knowledge into public awareness. If not now, when? It can’t remain hidden forever.

Ahh.. some people ask the best questions:
“> do you think it WOULD make a difference if we were all (“just” ) beings of light..
> WOULD we be co-existing peacefully without race, material goods, etc……
> would we still have religion and politics, jealousy, competition
> ……would we still have “bad eggs” such as with nasty hauntings……
> would it be any different basically….what do you think”
Here’s my reply:
You ask some great questions :-P
In order to answer them adequately, my opinion needs to lean towards pragmatism rather than wishful thinking.
As we say in my practice: “Logic is the thing that is”.
My logic here says, yes, if we were all (“just” ) beings of light, of course it would make a difference. We wouldn’t have anything ‘physical’ – that is, if we were completely, and ONLY light we wouldn’t have or need bodies – to contend with. Therefore we wouldn’t have physical needs like hunger, sex-drive/lust etc.
Consequently, it would be (somewhat) inevitable that we would co-exist ‘peacefully’ because as light within Light, we would be like water in an ocean, with no need for interaction.
We wouldn’t have any need for religion, or politics, or any of the other similar crowd-control “good advice” mechanisms created by society, because we wouldn’t be ‘human’, or even physical, so we wouldn’t need such ‘protections’.
Ditto to the ‘bad eggs’ – there simply wouldn’t be any. No Human Nature equals no “bad eggs”. Nasty hauntings wouldn’t occur either because the minds creating the fear involved in perceiving such things wouldn’t be active.
We would essentially be members of the Lords of Light, who exist outside the embodied physical, and who have as much contact with Humanity as humans do with ants.
Therefore, I feel I can reasonably conclude that it would be vastly “different basically”.
However, I think you might be suggesting that this would be a better state of affairs for humans to be in. If you are suggesting that, I feel I need to disagree.
Human nature is a vital, energetic, beautiful event that can only exist because humans exist. Remove Human Nature and return the energy back to its undifferentiated state and we not only cease to exist en masse, we lose all that wonderful creativity and insight that comes into existence every time one of us has an idea, or perceives beauty, or perceives anything really.
Anger, fear, retaliation, possessiveness, abuse etc. are all parts of Human nature. Some of us are more inclined towards them than others – no doubt about it. Some of us are able to acknowledge those aspects as being part of their character and are able to ignore them. Whether or not those people are the ‘lucky’ ones is a matter of personal opinion.
So, knowing that we are created in and of Light in the first and last instance – i.e. everything manifested Below is made of forms of light – I feel it’s MUCH better to be human and have failings which we can learn from, and which we can add to the overall knowledge base, than it would be to be undifferentiated, unmanifested Light and remain Above.
By Nature, Creation and How it Occurs, and the natural cycle of events we will return to our unmanifested condition soon enough. Until then, why not let’s enjoy our differences? Even though some of those difference can be quite unpleasant and challenging from time to time, IMO it’s better than being all the same as each other with no conflicts or challenges, and much better than not being human at all.
Like all other things perceived in the manifested physical Below, Nirvana is transient. Joy, relative…
